creating a family heirloom.

Each piece is unique and special to me. For chalk pastels I spend 15-20 hours drawing and perfecting the portrait with care, hoping to create an heirloom for my clients.

When starting a piece I must have a good reference photo, with clear details and lighting. Below are links to samples of reference photos and finished pieces.

Art Mediums

I currently work with chalk pastel, pencil, and oil paint.

Chalk Pastels and pencil must be framed under glass, and I supply a mat (white) with each piece I do. Chalk pastels are extremely fragile and will smear if touched. The glass protects the art, and the mat gives it space so that it will not smear. All are drawn on Pastelmat board. Each drawing takes between 2-4 weeks once I have begun. Email me if interested, I would love to hear from you!

I love to paint as well. Oil paint commissions take quiet a bit longer to produce. They are painted on canvas, any size, but do not need to be put under glass. The colors are amazing.
